Options
A. CASING
1. Galvanized and painted steel roofing
The roof sheets are cross-braked for added
stiffness and to facilitate water runoff and are
overhung on all sides.
Slip joints assure water tightness between
adjacent sheet.
2. Sub base 100 mm high, galvanized and
painted
39F unit sections are self supporting and do
not rely on a base for additional stiffening.
However, bases are sometimes required to
provide sufficient height for a U-trap below
the cooling coil drain pan or to raise units from
roof slab in external locations.
3. Air inlet hood
In galvanized, painted sheet metal sized and
sloped to avoid water entrapment.
A fine wiremesh bird screen is provided.
4.
Air discharge hood
In galvanized, painted sheet metal, designed to
prevent ingress of water.
A fine wiremesh bird screen is provided.
5. Flexible connections
For specifications calling for total unit to be
vibration isolated.
In fabric non-flammable class M1 with
connecting flanges in galvanized painted steel.
Can be installed on suction and / or discharge
side.
6. Bulkhead light
75 watts light bulb under glass cover, with
switch and a connection box all to IP 55.
Wiring upon request.
7. Inspection window
In strong plexiglass, 180 mm dia.
Together with bulkhead light allows quick
inspection of the inside of the casing while unit
is in operation.
B. FILTERS
1. Pressure control
U-tube pressure gauge 0 to 500 Pa.
Inclined tube pressure gauge 0 to 500 Pa.
Furnished for field installation. The pressure
connection tappings are factory installed.
Differential air pressure switch adjustable from
10 to 1250 Pa.
2. Air diffusion screen
For filters installed downstream from the fan
discharge and to assure a uniform air
distribution.
C. HUMIDIFIERS
1. Support feet
In galvanized painted sheet metal, 315 mm
high, to compensate for the added height due
to the humidifier sump. These feet are to be
placed under the edges of all other sections.
2. Inspection light
In cast iron and glass, to IP 55
D. FANS
1. Variable volume control
For variable volume systems: Inlet guide vanes
(for backward curved fans) or variable speed
motors (eddy current coupling, or frequency
inverter control) are available.
2. Fan drain
This connection is located on the bottom of the
fan volute and serves to drain any
condensation which might form on the inside
of the fan.
3. Inspection door
Available on all fan sizes, serves as access to
the fans for interior inspection and cleaning of
the volute and the fan impeller.
E. MOTOR
1. Vee belt guard
Made of galvanized expended steel.
2. Variable pitch pulleys
Can be installed on the motor shaft and / or the
fan shaft to allow fan speed variation between
+ or –20% for one variable pulley and + or –
50% for a pair of variable pitch pulleys. This
system is limited to maximum two grooves at
the pulley and the motor power of maximum
5.5 kW. Adjustment can only be made
manually and when the fan is stationary.
3. Standby motor
Situated opposite to the run motor and
furnished with a set of belts and pulley (belts
not fitted).
F. EXPLOSION PROOF CONSTRUCTION
Applied where the possibility of flammable
gasses exist. Flameproof motors and switches
and fan non-spark rings can be provided. The
